A new restaurant in Boston’s Back Bay is oriented to ‘casual gourmet’ patron. The plan is arranged lengthwise with a service zone, a serving and waiting zone and a dining area. The serving zone is further articulated with a stucco drum which houses the bulky bathroom and oven fixture elements. Innovative table/seat trolleys slide along the length of the continuous banquette thereby avoiding the loose furniture clutter and disarray typical of many small casual dining restaurants. The porous and variegated clouds allow the space to expand upwards despite the low hanging mechanicals.
